The structural supports for the concrete shutters on the ground and first floor have been removed and we are starting to see the building emerge properly. The formwork for the roof structure is currently being built out and we expect the roof to be poured this week in two sections. The Architect visited site and as often happens, when we saw the buildiing emerge we decided to make a few layout changes to improve the use of space and flow around the houses, particularly on the second floor where the main bedrooms are adjusted to maximise the amazing views over the rooftops of central Cascais and up the coast to Estoril and Carcavelos. The new room layouts will be posted on the site very shortly.
On the ground floor, the drainage services are being set out and the hardcore for the concrete slab is being laid. The concrete for the ground floor will probably be poured late next week and then very rapidly, the final layouts of the Casas will be set out and the walls will start being built.
