Today the final section of concrete slab for the roof of the garage was poured, laying the foundation for the beautiful landscaped garden and terraces.
Inside the building, works continue by all of the trades - electricians, plumbers, plasterers, HVAC engineers. The Stonemasons are currently working on re-installing the fabulous original stone lintels on the remaining internal and external doors and archways, a visible reminder of the connection to the past that this ultra-modern new building will have.
The velux windows are installed marking a significant step in sealing the building and over the next few weeks the glazing in the facade and the front doors will be re-installed, finally allowing us to show off the buildings restored facade. The remainder of the glazing on the rear facade is due to be installed in November, sealing the building and allowing the finishing works to commence in earnest.
