News update 4th Feb 2022

Another significant milestone was reached last week when the concrete floor of the garage was poured.  The garage can accomodate 8 cars and a number of motorcycles and also contains an individual storage unit for outdoor equipment for each home.  Works have started on constructing the storage units and the plant room for the garden and pool and we expect this aspect of the project to be completed in full in mid-March.

In the garden and on the terraces, waterproofing and drainage works are being finished prior to installing the hard landscaping for the garden.

Inside the building, the tiler is working to complete the tiling in all of the smaller bathrooms in advance of finishing the large format stone tiling in the larger bathrooms.  The engineered wood flooring will be delivered shortly and intially the herringbone pattern will be set and laid under the locations for wardrobes and kitchen cabinets.  This will allow the carpenter to start installing the doors and wardrobes mid-February, progressing to the kitchens and bathrooms once the tiler completes the stonework.

The Electricians continue with installing Main didtribution boards for each home and the outside spaces.  The plumber continues to work on the drainage outside the building and inside is installing the boilers, valvework and cylinders that comprise the hot water heating from both the solar panels and mains gas.  The final airconditioning units are being installed and with the installation of the false ceilings hiding the ventilation the building has taken a substantial step towards looking more complete.

The coming weeks will see the external insulation applied to the walls around the patios and courtyards before a final render is applied. The entrance courtyard floor will be set and the drainage and stone tiling laid and then finally the new front doors will be fitted and the restored front gate installed.  At this point the scaffolding and screens from the front of the building revealing all its restored glory in early March!
