As always at this stage of the project, things look worse before they look better as all of the pipework for plumbing, ductwork for air-conditioning and cabling for the electrical services are laid across floors, ceilings and walls.
Most of the finishes have been chosen including beautiful white oak wood flooring that will be laid in a herringbone pattern in living areas, stunning Portuguese lioz stone for the floors, tiling and worktops and white oak cabinetry in kitchens and bedrooms. The sliding doors on the main terraces will recede into the walls bringing the beautiful garden fully into the living areas The look will be very pared back and modern, whilst still using the traditional materials that would have featured in the original building.
In September, windows on the facade, the rooflights and the front doors will be installed while inside the work will continue on installing the services prior to laying the underfloor heating circuits. An exciting month ahead!
